Field Hockey to Visit University City Rival Penn

Philadelphia - Drexel field hockey will travel a few blocks south to face Penn in a non-conference game on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 7:15 p.m. The Dragons enter the contest with an 11-2 overall mark while the Quakers are currently 4-8 but are coming off of a 5-0 victory over St. Francis.
All eyes will be on current Colonial Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week Christina Mastropaolo as she stands just one goal from tying the Dragons' single-season mark for goals. She is currently tied for third in the nation in goals per game and is fourth in points. Alongside Mastropaolo on Drexel's frontline is 2008 Third Team All-American Susan Ciufo. The junior has amassed 15 goals this season and is second in the conference in goals and points behind her classmate.
Penn is led by Laurel McGarvie and Sarah Hasson who each have scored five goals this season. Sarah Warner has contributed a team-high four assists. Kieran Sweeney has started all 12 games in goal for the Quakers and sports a 1.94 goals against average and a .753 save percentage.
