Van Hellemont Named CAA Offensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Valentine Van Hellemont was named CAA Offensive Player of the Week following her standout performance in Drexel's 5–1 victory over William & Mary to close the regular season.

The junior midfielder opened the scoring just 30 seconds into the match and added a second goal less than eight minutes later. She also assisted on Natali Foster's first-quarter tally, finishing the day with two goals and one assist for a season-high five points.

Van Hellemont finished the regular season tied for the team lead with 22 points on seven goals and eight assists, helping the Dragons secure the No. 3 seed in the upcoming CAA Tournament. Drexel concluded the regular season at 11–7 overall and 3–2 in conference play and will face Northeastern in the semifinals on November 7 in West Long Branch, N.J.
