Drexel Field Hockey to Host University City Rival Penn

Philadelphia - Drexel Field Hockey will look to win its eighth straight game as the 16th-ranked Dragons host Penn on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 7:00 p.m. After opening the season at 3-3, Drexel has reeled off seven straight victories and sit alone atop the Colonial Athletic Association standing with a 5-0 conference mark.
Drexel's Ashley Santee was named the Colonial Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week after scoring both game-winning goals in the Dragons' perfect 2-0 week. Santee broke a 2-2 tie against Old Dominion with a score with less than 15 minutes remaining then followed it up with the game-winner in Drexel's 3-0 victory over William & Mary. Christina Mastropaolo leads the team with 11 goals and 26 points while Susan Ciufo has totaled five goals and six assists. Fellow senior Kim Tunell has a team-high seven assists on the season.
Penn has struggled this season with the Quakers' lone win coming against William & Mary. Penn will be looking to halt an eight-game losing streak. The Quakers have mustered just nine goals in 10 games this season with no player scoring more than two goals this season.
