Di Leva Leads the Charge in a 3-2 Overtime Victory over Rider

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Eline Di Leva scored the game-winner in the second minute of overtime to give the Dragons a 3-2 victory against Rider on Friday evening at Buckley Field. Drexel has now won five of its last six games and is 5-3 on the season.
   
BY THE NUMBERS  
- Drexel had 19 shots, three of them being goals, scored by Di Leva (2) and Amber Brouwer.
- Megan Hadfield led the defense with nine saves in the contest.
- DU recorded nine corners in the game.
- Since 1996, the Dragons are now 12-1 against the Broncs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Less than three minutes into the contest, Di Leva accelerated down the left side of the field, lifting the ball to the top left corner of the cage to score her third goal of the season, giving DU an early 1-0 advantage.
- After a Rider goal, Brouwer shot from the left side at goal line extended to score, putting the Dragons up 2-1 towards the end of the opening quarter.
- The Broncs scored late on a corner in the 43rd minute to force overtime.
- In the second minute of OT, Di Leva ran up the right side of the field and found the bottom left corner of the cage, giving Drexel the sudden victory win.

DU heads on the road to play the Bucknell Bison on Sunday, September 25. Game time from Lewisburg is scheduled for Noon.
