Dragons Set to Compete in Kelly and Bergen Cup Regatta

PHILADELPHIA, Pa - The Drexel men's and women's rowing teams will compete in the Unity Day Regatta this Saturday, May 1.

The men's team will send five shells down the Schuylkill River in chase of the Bergen Cup, where they will face the Temple Owls, UPenn Quakers, Saint Joseph's Hawks and the La Salle Explorers.

The women will face the Villanova Wildcats, Temple Owls, Saint Joseph's Hawks, La Salle Explorers, UPenn Quakers and the Thomas Jefferson Rams as they send five boats into competition in an effort to win the Kelly Cup.

This weekend's regatta is not only a competition between Philadelphia schools, but it signifies a row of unity. Prior to the races, the teams will join a webinar about advancing diversity and equity in rowing.
