Lynam Named CAA Co-Rookie of the Week

Philadelphia – Freshman forward Mary Lynam (Mount Joy, Pa./Donegal) earned this week's Colonial Athletic Association Co-Rookie of the Week honors for field hockey after scoring the game-winning goal to lift the Dragons past No. 22 California, 3-2, in overtime. Her second goal of the season helped the team extend their winning streak to five entering the weekend.
Together, the Dragons finished 5-1 overall and moved up three spots to No. 15 in this week's Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll. The Dragons will return to action at Lafayette on Friday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m. followed by a short trip to Temple on Sunday.
