Drexel Downed by Northeastern

Boston, Mass. – Drexel Field Hockey lost 7-0 in a Colonial Athletic Association game played at Northeastern's Sweeney Field. The Huskies scored five times in the second half as Northeastern improved to 7-6 (2-1 CAA) while the Dragons fell to 6-6 (0-4 CAA).
The Huskies put the game out of reach when they scored four goals in a ten-minute span during the second half. Ashley Webber started the run with goals at 48:33 and 50:15.
Northeastern's Stephanie Casper scored two goals and added two assists, while 2006 First Team All-CAA forward Whitney Shean also registered two assists.
For the game, the Dragons were outshot 25-3 and were awarded two penalty corners to the Huskies' 10. Drexel's Colleen McAndrew (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) finished with 13 saves in goal while Liz Centofonti stopped two shots.
In their next game, the Dragons will host Virginia Commonwealth at Buckley Field on Sunday, Oct. 8. The game will start at noon.
