NEWARK, Del. — Neither team could find the back of the net as Drexel played Delaware to a 0-0 draw Sunday afternoon in Newark. This is the second consecutive game between the long-time rivals to end in a scoreless draw. Sammy Widnick posted her fourth shutout of the season as the sophomore collected four saves.

This game was the first non-conference meeting between the teams, following UD's move to Conference USA. The Dragons are now 1-1-6 this season and lead the nation in draws.

The Dragons' defense held strong against Delaware's late attempts. In the 86th minute, Lilli Lubic's header off a corner kick nearly broke through, before rattling off the crossbar. Maggie Holloway also had an opportunity moments later, but just went wide of the net

Julia Hahn, Reese Power, and Alex Rivera each recorded a shot on goal as DU was held to just six shots total. This is the third 0-0 draw in the 2025 campaign for Drexel, matching a program season record.

Drexel begins a three-game homestand on Thursday against Philadelphia rival La Salle. Action is set for 6 p.m.
