Big 5 Announces Schedule for 2025-26 Women’s Campaign

PHILADELPHIA — The schedule for the 2025-26 Big 5 women's basketball season was announced on Thursday. The Dragons will host Penn on Wednesday, Nov. 12, before traveling to Saint Joseph's on Saturday, Nov. 29.
For the second consecutive season, all six of the city's NCAA Division I women's basketball programs have been split into two pods of three teams. Each team will play the others in their pod at on-campus sites in a round-robin format. From those games, the schedule will be set for a tripleheader at Villanova's Finneran Pavilion on Sunday, Dec. 7. The one seed in each pod will compete for the Big 5 Women's Classic, with the second-place teams in each pod competing for third while the third seeds play for fifth.
For the 2025-26 campaign, Pod 1 features Drexel, Penn, and Saint Joseph's while Pod 2 features La Salle, Temple, and Villanova.
Please note, ticket information for the Big 5 tripleheader at Finneran Pavilion will be announced at a later date.
