NEWARK, Del. – Avery Powell scored on a penalty corner in the 11^th minute, but it was not enough as the Dragons fell in the CAA opener 2-1 against Delaware on Friday evening.

BY THE NUMBERS

Taylor Mason led the team with an assist and four shots.
Drexel forced 10 corners and earned one goal, which was scored by Powell.
DU's offense produced 15 shots, six of which were on goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED

In the 11^th minute, Powell scored on a penalty corner on a pass on the left side of the circle by Mason, which tied the game 1-1.
After a tiebreaker goal by the Blue Hens, Drexel kept the pressure on until the end, earning a corner with 10 seconds left.
On the penalty corner, Mason shot on goal but the Delaware goalie made a save to end the game.
