Women's Soccer Battles William & Mary to Scoreless Draw

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Drexel women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw against William & Mary on Saturday at the Martin Family Stadium. The scoreless tie is the first of the two teams' history, now in its 20th match.
Drexel had an advantage over William and Mary in the shot's column, leading by five shots, 16-11. Drexel kept the Tribe at bay by allowing only four of their shots on target.
Delaney Lappin led the charge on the offensive end of the field. The sophomore was credited with eight shots, five of which were on target. Including Lappin, nine Dragons took at least one shot.
Miyuki Schoyen was called upon to make her 11th start of the season. The redshirt-junior made four saves and earned the sixth shutout of her career.
The Dragons return to Philadelphia on Thursday, October 14, to face UNCW at Vidas Field. The match is slated to begin at 4 p.m. and can be watched on FloFC.
