Women's Tennis Edged by Delaware on Sunday

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women's tennis team was edged by Delaware, 5-2, at the Elkton Indoor Tennis Courts on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, Drexel falls to 13-4 (1-1 CAA) on the year, while the Blue Hens improve to 10-5 (2-1 CAA).

Despite Mya Fuentes and Ryshena Providence winning at No. 3, 6-4, the Dragons could not pull out the doubles point as the Blue Hens seized the momentum. Facing an uphill battle in singles, the Dragons fought to two wins in the middle of the lineup. Salma Ziouti outlasted Amanda Studnicki at No. 3, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 while Fuentes defeated Sarah Hall, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 at No. 5.

The Dragons will get right back to it on Wednesday, April 11 when they travel to take on Saint Joseph's at 2 p.m.
