Women's Tennis Bounces Back Saturday with Sweep of Wagner

PHILADELPHIA -- The Drexel women's tennis team swept the Wagner Seahawks, 4-0, Saturday evening at the Drexel Armory.

The Dragons snagged the doubles point with a 6-1 win from the duo of Ryshena Providence and Clary Rodriguez Cruz in the top spot as well as a 6-1 victory from Honami Yazawa and Lea Winkler at No. 2. In singles, Drexel took the top three matches to secure the win. Yazawa downed Avika Sagwal, 6-3, 6-1, in the top spot, while Ghita Benhadi cruised past Vedika Anand, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 2. Winkler swept Rina Baynes at third singles for the win.
Drexel Tennis returns to the court Sunday in Newark, N.J. when they take on NJIT.
