Women's Tennis Posts Convincing 6-1 Win Over Towson

Philadelphia - Drexel tennis picked up its second CAA win in a row with a 6-1 victory over Towson. The Dragons improve to 13-2 on the season and 2-1 in conference play. Drexel faces conference foes Delaware and Hofstra this week before heading to the CAA Tournament.
The Dragons won five of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches in their most dominant conference victory of the season. Gozde Unkaya led the charge on the singles side by defeating Aandria Carr 6-0, 6-1. Anahita Jagtiani turned in a strong performance at third singles to defeat Evelyn Izaguirre. After pulling out the first set in a tie-breaker, Jagtiani put away Izaguirre 6-0 in the second to earn a team point.
Drexel plays dual matches against Hofstra, on Friday, and Delaware, on Sunday to complete its regular-season CAA schedule this week. On Saturday, the Dragons will honor seniors Emily and Mellissa Lewis as well as Joe Koebele, Carlo Pangilinan, Sabyasachi Bose and Ben Trabin as part of Senior Day festivities.
