Hynes and Csakai Win Events in Season Opening Dual at La Salle

Philadelphia - Jessica Csakai and Kate Hynes each opened the season with first-place finishes as Drexel dropped its first meet of the season, 211-85, at La Salle. Hynes swept both boards as she set new La Salle pool records on the 1- and 3-meter dives. Csakai won the 500 free event with a time of 5:20.00.
A pair of freshmen opened their collegiate careers with impressive showings in the 100 breast as Amanda Brown and Alisha Larosa took second and third, respectively. Kaitlin Slowey took second in the 100 and 200 fly.
The Dragons return to action Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Colonial Athletic Association Pod Meet in Harrisonburg, Va.
