"The Dragons Den," as the upper-level gymnasium has been tabbed, measures in size the equivalent of a football field. The installation of new bleachers around the main court in 1994-95 increased the capacity to 2,300. The court is flanked by two viewing galleries for radio and television and/or special events. Hexagonal mercury and quartz lights provide sufficient brightness for television broadcasts. Scoreboards are positioned on the east and west sides of the main court and a new message center and main scoreboard were installed in the 1997-98 season.
