Andrew Manns Named to Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Team

PHILADELPHIA - Andrew Manns of Drexel men's rowing has been named to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Team for men's rowing. Manns is one of nine rowers selected to the team, which is voted on by the sports information offices of 30 institutions from the greater Philadelphia area. In order to be eligible for Academic All-Area, a student-athlete must be in their second year at the institution hold a GPA of 3.3 or above.

Manns guided the second varsity 8+ boat to a silver medal at the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta this season. The Dragons captured the men's title for the fourth consecutive season, as Drexel won the overall championships in back-to-back years. The senior participated in 13 races with the V8+ team, taking home a bronze medal at the Bergen Cup and a fourth place finish at the Head of the Charles. Manns helped the varsity 4+ reach the Second Final at the IRA National Championships, securing a top-12 finish. The Cherry Hill product was named to the IRA 2025 Athlete Watchlist and was selected to represent the United States at the U23 World Rowing Championships.
