Men’s Rowing Season Comes to an End at IRA Nationals

CHERRY Hill, N.J. - The men's rowing team placed 12th out of 39 teams at the IRA National Championships on the Cooper River Saturday afternoon. The varsity 4+ boats come home sixth in the second final.
The team of Luke Joseph (Coxswain), Zach Key, Andrew Manns, Matthew Kennedy, and Kyle Brown (Bow), rowing in Dan Lyons, crossed the line with a time of 6:33.510. St. Joseph's won the race, clocking in at 6:20.690. Washington took gold overall, followed by Harvard and Cal.
The Dragons had the 15th best time overall in the time trials at 6:13.015. The V4+ had a competitive showing in the heat races Friday afternoon, qualifying for the second final with a fourth place finish.
