Drexel Wins Two Races at Bergen Cup

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel men's rowing team recorded two wins at the Bergen Cup Saturday morning. The 3V8+ and 4V8+ each captured gold at the Cup.
The Dragons honored seniors Riccardo Bouehi, Nick Foley, Maxwell Frey, Emma Houghton, Carter Hubbard, Zach Key, Gustavo Lezama, John Little, Andrew Manns, Kosta Petkovic, Nemanja Sajatovic, Dearon Turfankjian, and Sean Williams before the event.
The 3rd varsity 8+ team of Luke Joseph (Coxswain), Illia Chykanov (Stroke), Dearon Tufankjian, Ben Werber, Willem Kirsch, Zach Key, Aidan Ionescu, Braeden Montgomery, and Milo Epstein (Bow) came home with a time of 6:31.4. The Dragons finished eight seconds ahead of La Salle.
Owen Schwartz (Coxswain), Sam Duncan (Stroke), Jack Brennan, Liam Strain, Carter Lucas, Aidan Seiger, Max Wilson, Gavin Roe, and Sean Williams (Bow) rowed to victory with a time of 7:03.00, 16 seconds ahead of Temple.
The Owls took the top spot in the varsity 8+ and 2nd varsity 8+ races.
