Dragons Fall to Campbell in Series-Opener

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Drexel softball team was defeated by the Campbell Camels on Friday afternoon, 9-1.
Madison Taylor started in the circle for Drexel and pitched all five innings.
The Dragons picked up two hits in the series-opener. Kylah Reading checked into the game with a double to left center, while Zoe Krizan hit her third home run of the season.
Campbell scored one run in the first inning to give the Camels the lead. In the third and fourth innings, the home team scored two runs each inning. Campbell added four runs in the fifth inning to push its total to nine.
Drexel and Campbell are set to play a doubleheader on Saturday in Buies Creek. The first pitch of the day is set for noon.
