Men’s Rowing Earns a Pair of Wins on Final Day of Redwood Shores Invitational

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - The Drexel men's rowing team collected a pair of wins on the final day of the Redwood Shores Invitational Sunday afternoon. Both the Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 8+ picked up victories over Oregon State.
The Varsity 8+ boat, rowed by Luke Joseph (Coxswain), Illia Chykanov (Stroke), Zoran Bosnic, Matthew Kennedy, Bartek Socha, Ben Werber, Kyle Brown, John Little and Andrew Manns, defeated the Beavers with a time of 6:10.7. Oregon State crossed the line three seconds behind the Dragons at a time of 6:13.9.
The Second Varsity 8+ team closed the weekend for Drexel. The boat of Derek Kaiser (Coxswain), Nemanja Sajatovic (Stroke), Willem Kirsch, Jakob Mauntel, Nick Foley, Zach Key, Aidan Ionescu, Collin Gross and Jono Andersson (Bow) came home with a time of 6:14.7. They finished three seconds ahead of Oregon State, who clocked in at 6:18.0.
The Dragons hit the water again on March 29 as they battle Cornell in Ithaca, New York.
