PHILADELPHIA – Five different players scored as Drexel field hockey earned a 6-0 win over La Salle on Friday afternoon at Buckley Field. With the result, the Dragons improved to 7-4 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dragons wasted little time, striking three times in the opening quarter. Floriènne Bosdijk opened the scoring less than a minute in, finishing off a setup from Pili Lemoine. Sadie Schultz doubled the advantage in the third minute, assisted by Anna Castaldo, before Castaldo added her own unassisted goal later in the quarter.

In the second period, Drexel extended its lead to 5-0. Fleur Hamers converted on a penalty corner chance off assists from Natali Foster and Castaldo, before Castaldo struck again minutes later with her second goal of the afternoon, set up by Hamers.

Foster capped the scoring in the third quarter with her first goal of the season. The Dragons controlled possession throughout and kept the Explorers off the board.

The Dragons' six goals marked their highest total this season.

Drexel outshot La Salle 21-1, including a 16-1 edge in shots on goal.

Castaldo recorded two goals and two assists, while Hamers added a goal and an assist.

Bosdijk scored her first goal of the season.

Foster finished with a goal and an assist, including her first goal of the season.

Schultz scored her second goal of the year.

Goalkeepers Alana Poole and Halle Geiger combined for the shutout, with Geiger making one save.
