HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — The Drexel women's soccer team fell to Hofstra Sunday afternoon, 3-0. Drexel moves to 2-5-8 overall and 1-3-2 in the CAA.
The Herd struck first in the 13th minute. Thorhildur Thorhallsdottir split two Drexel defenders on the left side and floated the shot through the far corner for the score.
Hofstra doubled its lead in the 20th minute. Aimee Hodge fired a long-distance shot into the box, where Manon Lebargy redirected it into the net to make it 2-0.
Hofstra added one more in the 65th minute. Mathilde Brathwaite collected the pass downfield, slipping it past the keeper with the right boot.
Drexel travels south on Thursday to play Elon. Action from North Carolina is set for 7 p.m.
