Fuentes Highlights Day Two of Villanova Invitational

VILLANOVA, Pa. –The Drexel women's tennis team returned to the Main Line on Saturday morning to compete on the second day of the Villanova Invitational and faced the Temple Owls. Lorie Lemongo and Mya Fuentes earned singles victories, while Renata Lombera and Cristina Corte Gonzalez paired up and earned a doubles victory.

Lemongo earned her second victory in the young campaign by defeating her Owls opponent in a pair of 6-4 sets. After dropping the first set, 6-4, Fuentes battled back, earned a 6-1 victory in the second set, and clinched her victory with an 11-9 set three. Lombera and Corte Gonzalez downed their opponents in doubles play with a 6-4 result.

The Dragons return to Villanova on Sunday to wrap up their first weekend of competition.
