Women’s Soccer Signs Seven to National Letters of Intent

PHILADELPHIA — Drexel Head Coach Ray Goon has announced that seven student-athletes have signed a National Letters of Intent. Morayo Adenegan, Lauren Currey, Rory Klingensmith, Natalie Pantalone, Morgan Rees, Miyuki Schoyen and Caroline Thompson will be attending Drexel in the fall.
Adenegan played both outside and center back while attending Notre Dame Prep in Towson. She was named an All-Conference performer in her final season. Adenegan plays for the Washington Spirit-Baltimore Armour Development Academy.
Currey is a forward who played at Central Dauphin in Harrisburg. She was the Mid-Penn Commonwealth Division Most Valuable Player as a senior when she scored 35 goals and handed out 10 assists. Currey played her club soccer for LDC United.
Klingensmith is from Hummelstown, Pa. She is a midfielder who played at Lower Dauphin High School. While there, she was a three-sport standout on the soccer, basketball and track and field team. She also played for LDC United.
Pantalone is a native of Williamstown, N.J. She played both midfield and forward at Williamstown High and was twice named an All-Conference selection. Pantalone played her club soccer for the Southern Jersey Elite Barons Rush.
Rees is no stranger to Drexel as both her parents and grandfather attended the school. She graduated from nearby Harriton High School, where she was the school's record holder for career goals and goals in a season. Rees, a forward, was also a First Team All-Central League performer. She plays for the Lower Merion SC Storm.
Schoyen is another Drexel signee from Maryland. She played at Parkside High School in Salisbury, where she was twice selected First Team All-League and twice named to the Second Team as a goalkeeper. She played for Maryland United.
Thompson was a four-year starter at midfield for Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown. She was a two-time All-Pioneer Athletic Conference selection and held lead her team to the 2017 conference title. She is a member of West-Mont United.
