Men's Rowing Completes Competition Saturday Against Princeton (HWT), GW and Georgetown

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Drexel men's rowing team completed competition Saturday against Princeton (HWT), George Washington and Georgetown on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J.
Princeton annually holds a spring scrimmage with Georgetown, this year extending an invitation to George Washington and Drexel. Crews raced first from 2000 meters before racing once from 1000 meters and twice from 750 meters. Only 2000-meter results were recorded.
The fifth-ranked Princeton varsity eight took first with a time of 5:57.4, while the No. 17 Dragons, racing in the Lois Krall II boat, took fourth with a 6:29.3. Georgetown's varsity eight, which finished second, came into the race receiving votes, while George Washington, which finished third, came in ranked No. 15.
In the second varsity eight, the Dragons finished with a fourth-place time in the Sandra Lee Sheller II boat of 6:52.9, while the third varsity eight, racing in the Lois Krall boat, took third of three with a 6:54.2. The fourth varsity eight, which raced in the Joseph Greipp boat against Princeton's 4V and 5V, took third with a 7:02.3.
The Dragons return to action next Saturday when they return to the Schuylkill River for the Murphy Cup Regatta.
