MEN'S SCHEDULE | WOMEN'S SCHEDULE
PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel Squash program released its 2017-18 competition schedules, head coach John White announced Monday morning.
The Dragons will again play against the elite squash programs in the country, including the reigning men's national champion, Trinity, and the reigning women's national champion, Harvard. Drexel's men's team is looking to build off the momentum of last season when it advanced to the program's first ever Potter Cup and a program-best year-end ranking at No. 6 in the country.
Drexel opens the season on Nov. 11 at home against Dickinson as part of the Pennsylvania State Classic before crossing Chestnut Street on Nov. 12 to close out the tournament against Penn. The Dragons will then have a home stand through the first week of December, which will include Columbia (Nov. 18), Trinity (Nov. 19), Yale (Dec. 2) and Williams (Dec. 3). The women will continue their home stand on Dec. 7 against Princeton, while the men's team will be the first to leave the city of Philadelphia on Dec. 9 when they head up I-95 to Princeton.
Following a month-long break through final exams in December and into the New Year, the Dragons will retake the court beginning with the women on Jan. 6 at Stanford then the men hosting Rochester on Jan. 11 before travelling to Navy on Jan. 13. Both teams will reconvene at home on Jan. 14 against Franklin & Marshall before both head to Virginia on Jan. 20. The team continues its road trip with a Jan. 27 matchup at Dartmouth before heading to Harvard the next day. Both teams will then close out the dual match season with four straight at the Kline & Specter Squash Center, including Cornell (Jan. 31), George Washington (Feb. 9), St. Lawrence (Feb. 10) and Middlebury (Feb. 11).
Women's Team National Championships will be held Feb. 16-18 at Harvard, while Trinity will host the Men's Team National Championships on Feb. 23-25. Individual Championships will take place at George Washington on March 2-4.
