No. 14 Women’s Squash Stumbles to No. 1 Harvard on Friday Afternoon

PHILADELPHIA – The No. 14 Drexel women's squash team (2-6) dropped its Friday afternoon match to the top-ranked, No. 1 Harvard Crimson (2-0) from the Kline & Specter Squash Center by a final of 9-0.
The Crimson swept the Dragons inside of the Daskalakis Athletic Center as Drexel fell to 2-6 on the campaign.
Junior Ryan Morgan fell in the No. 1 match to Harvard's Alyssa Mehta, 11-9, 12-10, 11-2. Fellow classmate Hayley Hughes dropped her No. 2 match to Katherine Tutrone of the Crimson in straight games, 11-8, 11-7, 11-4. Newcomer Anna Hughes, the younger sister of Hayley, lost in her collegiate debut from the No. 3 position to Sue Ann Yong, 11-8, 11-4, 11-5.
The women are next in action on Monday, January 16 and Tuesday, January 17 as the squad hosts Wellesley and Penn on consecutive evenings at 6 p.m.
