Drexel Tennis Announces Men's Incoming 2015-16 Class

PHILADELPHIA – Head coach Mehdi Rhazai and Drexel Tennis have added two more athletes to the 2015-16 incoming class.
Balaji Lakshmanan and Andrew Sinai will wear the Blue and Gold beginning in the fall. They will join Sinan Orhon, who signed an NLI back in November, in this class.
"I'm very excited for the future of Drexel Tennis," Rhazali said. "With the new additions I'm sure that we will be stronger and have more depth.
"I'm sure that all three players will help us reach further goals and help us reach new heights at the CAA Championships."
Lakshmanan transferred to Drexel from the University of Buffalo and will be a sophomore. In his lone season at Buffalo, the Bulls advanced to the NCAA Tournament after winning the Mid-American Conference title over Binghamton. Originally from Chennai, India, Lakshmanan reached an ITF Juniors ranking of 888 and advanced to the doubles semifinals in the ITF Juniors tournament in Mumbai.
Sinai, a Bethlehem, Pa. native, played No. 1 singles all four of his years at Freedom High School. A two-time district champion in singles in 2013 and 2014, Sinai also placed third in the state in those years. He achieved a No. 2 ranking at Middle States 16s, where he won multiple sectional titles and advanced to Kalamazoo twice.
