Drexel's Canady to Miss 2014-15 Season Due to Injury

Philadelphia – Drexel men's basketball player Major Canady will miss the 2014-15 season due to an injury suffered in practice this week.
Canady, who played in every game as a freshman and started 14 of the team's final 15 games, was hurt in practice on Thursday. He suffered a right ankle injury which will require surgery. Canady was projected to be the team's starter at the point guard position.
The sophomore from Wilson, N.C. averaged 2.7 points and 2.1 rebounds per game in his first season and handed out 27 assists while committing just 17 turnovers. Drexel begins the 2014-15 season on Nov. 14 at Colorado.
