PHILADELPHIA - With seven newcomers already set to join the Drexel men's soccer team this fall, head coach Doug Hess and the Dragons announced on Friday that two more student-athletes, Maty Brennan and Joaquin del Rosario, have been added to this year's incoming class. Both come to Drexel after transferring from other universities, with Brennan entering as a junior by eligibility and del Rosario as a sophomore.
It's great to be able to add two players of this caliber this late in the recruiting season," Hess remarked. "Both Maty and Joaq bring some positive experience and outstanding backgrounds that will help our program as we look to build off last year's success. I am proud of my coaching staff being able to bring in players like these two at this point in the year."

A native of Sydney, NSW, Australia and a graduate of St. Mary's Senior High School in nearby St. Mary's, Mathew Brennan is a 5'8" defender who spent his last three years at Georgia Southern University. Brennan was a member of the Blacktown City F.C. club team in Australia from 2006-10, where he won a grand finals against the top youth competition throughout the country. At Georgia Southern, Brennan played two seasons for the Eagles and graduated in three years with a degree in kinesiology with a minor in nutrition/food science.
Brennan is the son of Karen and David Brennan. He will enter the graduate program upon starting classes at Drexel.

Joaquin del Rosario joins the Dragons after a season at N.C. State University. A graduate of Charles E. Jordan High School in Durham, N.C., del Rosario is a right-footed forward who led his high school team in goals in 2008, 2009 and 2011. He was named the PAC-6 Conference Player of the Year twice, in 2008 and as a senior in 2011. Those years, he was also recognized as an NCSCA 4A All-State performer. In 2010, del Rosario helped lead his team to a North Carolina State Championship.
Del Rosario played his club soccer with CASL Chelsea FC Academy in Raleigh, where he received the USSF DA South Conference Starting XI honors at the end of the 2010-11 season. The son of Maria and Joel del Rosario, Joaquin intends to major in marketing.
