Watts Named CAA Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

Philadelphia – Redshirt freshman Alissa Watts (West Long Branch, N.J./Shore Regional) earned the first women's lacrosse Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week Award for the 2012 season. Watts recorded two goals and an assist for three points in her first collegiate appearance in Drexel's 15-10 win over George Washington on Sunday afternoon at Vidas Field. She also picked up two ground balls and helped the Dragons allow just two goals in the second half to secure the win. Drexel gears up for three more home contests starting with Saint Joseph's on Wednesday night.
