Lindsay Sets Scoring Mark as Drexel Defeats Temple, 4-1

Philadelphia - The Drexel women's soccer team scored three times in the opening half and Jenna Lindsay set the school record for career goals as the Dragons defeated Temple at Vidas Field. It was the second straight win for the Dragons, who improved to 2-1-1 on the season.
Lindsay set the school mark with her 21st career goal in the 20th minute of the first half. Alex Vazquez gave Lindsay a nice feed in on the right side. Lindsay raced down, got into the box and fired a shot into the far corner off the post to put the Dragons ahead for good. Drexel added two more goals in the first half to take a commandinig 3-0 lead into the break. Christine Stevenson headed a ball to Alyssa Findlay, who scored her first career goal in the 38th minute. The play was set up when Katie Duncan blasted a shot from outside the box that hit the crossbar and bounced to Stevenson. Stevenson picked up another assist just a few minutes later when she set up Megan Hammaker's first career goal.
Temple got on the board in the 57th minute. Niki Conn went in alone on the left side and fired a shot into the top far corner over an outstretched Eve Badana. Drexel answered later in the half when Stevenson set up a Vazquez goal. It was the third assist of the game for Stevenson, which tied the school record for a single game set by Carly Snyder.
The Dragons outshot Temple, 22-17. Victoria Troccoli started in goal and got the win for the Dragons, making two saves in the first 45 minutes. Badana played the second half and had five saves
Drexel is back in action on Sunday when it visits nationally-ranked Virginia in Charlottesville.
