Mark Manos, Frank Tufano and Dana Wilber were named Preseason All-Conference by the CAA

Philadelphia, Pa.— Drexel juniors Mark Manos, Frank Tufano and Dana Wilber have been selected to the Colonial Athletic Association Preseason All-Conference Lacrosse Team. Drexel was picked to finish third in the CAA in a vote by the league's head coaches.
Manos, a goalie from West Chester, Pa., was a Third Team All-American a year ago and was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore. He led the CAA in goals against average, save percentage and saves per game.
Tufano, a long stick midfielder from Hauppauge, N.Y., was a First Team Selection as a long stick a year ago. He tied for the team lead with 15 caused turnovers in 2010
Wilber, a defenseman from Penn Yan, N.Y., was also a First Team All-CAA pick as a sophomore. He led the Dragons with 49 ground balls a year ago and tied with Tufano for the team lead in caused turnovers.
The Dragons were picked to finish behind Hofstra and Delaware in the preseason poll. Hofstra received six of seven first place votes and had 36 points. The Blue Hens received 26 votes, one more than the Dragons. Massachusetts (23) was picked fourth followed by Towson, Penn State and Saint Joseph's.
Drexel begins the 2011 season on Saturday, Feb. 19 at Virginia. The Cavaliers are ranked first in the nation in the USILA Preseason Coaches' Poll.
