Five Incoming Women's Lacrosse Players Named to U.S. Lacrosse High School All-America Teams

Philadelphia - U.S. Lacrosse released its high school All-America First Team and Honorable Mention squad as five players who signed National Letters of Intent to play women's lacrosse for Drexel were honored. Included in Head Coach Anna Marie Vesco's batch of incoming freshmen for the 2011 season were a pair of First Team All-Americans and three Honorable Mention picks. This past season the Dragons finished 10-7 overall and will look to improve that mark with the addition of the highly touted recruits.
Amanda Santandrea, a goalie from Gulderland High School in New York and Ashley Glenn, a midfielder from South Lyon High School in Michigan were chosen First Team All-America by U.S. Lacrosse. Midfielders Ashley Bupp and Alissa Watts were picked Honorable Mention All-America. Bupp starred at Hempfield High School while is a Shore Regional High School graduate. Defender Amanda Norcini was also an Honorable Mention pick and is the latest in a long line of standouts from Conestoga High School to play for Vesco at Drexel.
