Drexel Softball Adds Catcher Maddison Timoteo For 2010 Season

Philadelphia - Head Softball Coach Kim Camara has announced the signing of Maddison Timoteo to a letter of intent to join the Dragons for the 2010 season. Timoteo's committment finalizes Drexel's roster for the upcoming season, which includes fellow newcomers Shelby Taylor, Jessica O'Hara and Comfort Ahonkai.

Timoteo, a catcher from Jupiter, Fla. was a First Team All-Conference selection and a two-time team MVP. She hit .420 as a sophomore and junior while earning places on the All-Palm Beach team and the All-Confernece First Team.

She was also a member of the U-18 Florida State Championship club team, the Lady Gators. In addition to her prowess on the softball field she was also an all-district and all-region swimmer at Jupiter High.

Timoteo joins a class that also includes pitcher Shelby Taylor from Easton, Md., utility player Comfort Ahonkai of Palm Beach, Fla., as well as Jessica O'Hara, from nearby Sewell, N.J. who is also a versatile utility player.
