Philadelphia - Drexel's Katie Lawson was named Second Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association for the second consecutive season. Lawson, a senior, led the Dragons with 50 goals and 56 points on the season as she became just the second player in Drexel history to score 50 goals in a single-season. She has already claimed Second Team All-Colonial Athletic Association Honors this year.
Lawson's 50 goals led the CAA in the regular season while she helped the Dragons to a 10-6 overall record. She finished her career eighth on the Dragons' all-time goal scoring list with 113. She scored four or more goals in seven games during her senior season. She opened her big season with a five-goal performance as she led Drexel to a 13-9 win Virginia Tech then tallied another five goals two games later in a victory over George Washington. She notched a season-high six goals in the Dragons' triumph over CAA opponent Old Dominion.
