Wrestling to Open Home Season with Pair of Matinee Duals
Bookmark and Share
Philadelphia - Drexel wrestling will compete in its first home event of the season as the Dragons host Sacred Heart and Pittsburgh at the Daskalakis Athletic Center on Friday, Nov. 13. Drexel will face Sacred Heart at noon before a 3:00 p.m. meeting with the Panthers. Drexel enters the tri-meet with a 1-1 overall record.

In its first action of the 2009-10 season, split two duals last weekend as the Dragons defeated York College, 37-9, before falling to 10th-ranked Maryland, 35-6. Drexel opened its win over York with three straight wins by falls. Kyle Frey and Brett McCurdy picked up the Dragons' victories against the Terrapins.

Sacred Heart enters the tri-meet with an 0-1 record after losing its opener to Rutgers. Pittsburgh has not wrestled in a dual meet this season though the Panthers did compete in the Clarion Open.
