Lawrenceville, N.J. - Drexel women's tennis improved to 3-0 in dual match play this Fall with a 6-1 win over Rider. The Dragons won two of three doubles matches, and five of six in singles play, with their only losses as forfeits due to an injury. Gozde Unkaya won in straight sets at first singles, 6-1, 6-2 over Kristina Paich. Emma Brook, Anahita Jagtiani, Elise Leizerovich and Melissa Bohm followed suit with straight-set victories to close out the win.
Unkaya teamed up with Brook to defeat Paichand Marly Roche 8-3 at first doubles. Elise Leizerovich and Melissa Bohm topped Amanda Matticks and Alyssa Markovits 8-0 at second doubles to earn the Dragons another team point.
The women will play Delaware State at home tomorrow at 2:00 p.m to close out dual match play before heading off to the ITA Regional Tournament at Yale this weekend.
