Women's Tennis Downs Monmouth 5-2
Philadelphia- Led by a strong showing in singles play, Drexel women's tennis pulled away for a 5-2 victory over Monmouth. Gozde Unkaya, Emma Brook, Elise Leizerovich and Anahita Jagtiani won their singles matches in straight sets to close out Drexel's second dual match victory of the season.
The Dragons swept doubles play to earn an additional team point. Gozde Unkaya and Zineb Hilali teamed up for an 8-1 win over Katie Tierney and Nicole Lippens at first doubles. Emma Brook and Elise Leizerovich and Melissa Bohm and Anahita Jagtiani followed in similar dominant fashion.
Drexel is back in action next Tuesday when the Dragons travel to Lawrenceville, N.J. to play a dual match with Rider.
