Lynn Ferguson had an outstanding career both in the classroom and on the field. He was a three-year letterwinner in both lacrosse and football. Ferguson was only the second Dragon ever to be an All-America in two sports the same year and was the first Hall of Famer to be inducted in his initial year of eligibility.
Ferguson was a defensive back on the football field and was a midfielder and a defenseman on the lacrosse team. He was a two-time lacrosse All-America and was named to the Drexel Lacrosse 75th Anniversary Team. . He was awarded the NCAA Post Graduate Scholarship Award in 1971 and the NCAA Top 10 Award in 1972, the year of his graduation. Ferguson was named the school’s outstanding sophomore, junior and senior athlete.
