Philadelphia - Drexel guard Chris Fouch has been granted a sixth season of eligibility and will suit up for the Dragons once again this fall. Fouch missed all but the first three games of his senior season due to an ankle injury sustained against Penn in November.
The 6-foot-2 sharpshooter from the Bronx was averaging 16.7 points per game before the injury. Fouch has averaged at least 10 points per game in each of his seasons in University City. He will begin play in 2013 with 1,194 career points, which ranks 20th in Drexel history. He is seventh all-time at Drexel with 203 career three-pointers and is the ninth most accurate free-throw shooter at .767.
Fouch was forced to sit out his first year, the 2008-09 season, after suffering a knee injury.
