Philadelphia – Conor Ford and Chris Collins have been named assistant lacrosse coaches at Drexel University. The announcement was made by Drexel Head Coach Brian Voelker.

Ford was an assistant for three seasons under Voelker at Penn before coming to Drexel. He was the Quakers’ offensive coordinator and during his time at Penn, the Quakers had three All-Ivy selections and one player named an Honorable Mention All-American.

Ford had an outstanding collegiate career while playing at Johns Hopkins. A four-year letterwinner, Ford was a Second-Team All-American as a senior captain. He scored 44 goals as a senior, the 10th-highest single-season total in Johns Hopkins history. The Blue Jays were 47-10 during his four seasons, advanced to the 2002 NCAA Semifinals and to the 2003 NCAA Championship game. He is tied for 13th on the Hopkins career goals list with 101.

Collins has been on the Delaware staff the previous four seasons. He served as both a goalie coach and offensive assistant at his alma mater. In 2007, Delaware won the Colonial Athletic Association championship and advanced to the NCAA Semifinals for the first time in school history.

As a player at Delaware, Collins earned Honorable Mention All-America honors as a senior. A three-year captain and two-time All-CAA selection, Collins set school records for single-season and career goals against average.

“Conor and Chris should be excellent additions to our program,” Voelker said. “Both have had success as players and coaches at a high level and we look forward to continuing that this season at Drexel.”
