Lawson Collects Second Team All-Region Honors

Philadelphia - Drexel's Katie Lawson was named Second Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. Lawson, a junior, led the Dragons with 39 goals and 44 points on the season. She previously garnered Second Team All-Colonial Athletic Association Honors for her season. With her selection to the All-Region Team, she is now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-American teams, which will be announced on May 28.
Lawson ranked among the leaders in the CAA in goals scored in conference play. The junior racked up 22 goals in seven league games, including six at William & Mary and five at Hofstra. She recorded a goal in all but one game this season and totaled a team-high three game-winning goals. Lawson has totaled 63 goals through three seasons at Drexel.
