Philadelphia, Pa. – Former Drexel lacrosse standout Jeff Spano has been named to the United States Men’s Indoor National Team. The announcement was made in New York on Tuesday.

Spano, who played at Drexel for four seasons from 1998 through 2001, is one of 33 players selected to the team. He is currently a member of the New York Titans in the National Lacrosse League.

"Jeff is a high energy player that can contribute on both ends of the floor,” US National Coach Tom Ryan said. “He will be a key player in our transition game."

The 2007 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship will take place from May 14-20, at the Halifax Metro Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Eight nations will compete in the 2007 Championship - USA, Canada, Australia, England, Ireland, Czech Republic, Scotland, and the Iroquois Nationals.
